It was in the night with a partial lunar eclipse over the hills …
I just wanted to make a simple landscape shot with the moon. On closer inspection of the moon on my pictures, I discovered a shadow on the full moon.
On the close up you can see this shadow quite good. A partial lunar eclipse happens when the earth moves between the sun and the moon, but they are not aligned in a straight line. Only a part of the moon’s visible surface moves into the earth’s shadow.
